The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is celebrating its 25th anniversary in style. With a staggering $1.5 billion reinvestment project, the resort is embarking on one of the most expensive hotel renovations in history. This ambitious plan promises to reimagine the Venetian Las Vegas experience, blending the timeless allure of Venice with a touch of modern extravagance.

Rooms at the Venetian Las Vegas

At the heart of  the Venetian is the suite-style rooms that allow Venetian Las Vegas to offer some of the largest rooms on the Las Vegas Strip. At the center of the renovation project sits a complete redesign of all 4,000 suites across the Venetian towers. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant costumes and celebratory spirit of the Venetian Carnival, the renovated rooms at the Venetian Las Vegas will bring a fresh aesthetic. Gone are the days of traditional purple upholstery; expect a bolder color palette reminiscent of the Carnevale’s reds and whites. The resort aims to retain its position as offering the largest standard suites on the Las Vegas Strip, while infusing them with a renewed sense of luxury and playfulness.

The first wave of these redesigned accommodations is slated for completion in September 2024, with the entire project expected to be finished by summer 2025. This phased approach ensures minimal disruption to guests while allowing them to experience the Venetian’s exciting transformation progressively.

Beyond the Rooms at Venetian Las Vegas: The Feasts

The Venetian’s revamp extends far beyond the guest rooms. The resort is committed to creating a multi-sensory experience that caters to diverse interests. Here’s a glimpse of what awaits visitors:

+ Culinary Delights: The Venetian is keeping details under wraps for now, but exciting new “chef-led culinary concepts” are planned to be unveiled later this year. This signifies an emphasis on fresh, innovative dining experiences that will tantalize taste buds and complement the resort’s existing restaurant scene.

+ Revamped Gaming: For those seeking thrills on the casino floor, the Venetian is upping the ante. A fully redesigned sportsbook created in partnership with Yahoo Sportsbook powered by William Hill caters to sports enthusiasts. Additionally, the opulent Palazzo High Limit Lounge caters to high rollers, while a brand-new poker room, scheduled to open this summer, promises to be a haven for card sharks.

+ Convention Center Makeover: The Venetian understands the importance of business tourism. To cater to its loyal clientele and attract new conventions, a dedicated $188 million renovation is planned for the Venetian Expo convention center. The revamped space boasts an “upscale” color palette, luxurious lounge seating for meetings, and cutting-edge technological upgrades. This ensures a seamless and productive experience for convention attendees.

“This redevelopment marks more than just a surface-level renovation,” says Patrick Nichols, president and CEO of the Venetian Resort Las Vegas. “It signifies a deep understanding of our guests and a profound reimagining of an iconic resort unlike any other in history.”

The Venetian’s $1.5 billion investment aims to solidify its position as a premier Las Vegas destination. The project caters not only to high-rollers and luxury seekers but also to business travelers, foodies, and gaming enthusiasts.

The Venetian most known for its extravagant Grand Canal Shoppes featuring gondola rides, singing gondoliers and replicas of Venice’s iconic landmarks, was acquired by New York-based investment firm Apollo Management Group. The February 2022 deal, valued at $6.25 billion, included The Venetian’s sister property, the Palazzo, which opened in 2007.

The Venetian is spirited the successful “integrated resort” model in Las Vegas, which combines luxury hotels and casinos with additional attractions like high-end shopping and entertainment. The concept was launched originally through Caesars Palace with the opening of The Forum Shops in 1992.
