Seabourn Cruises is on course to offer once-in-a-lifetime luxury expedition experiences on its newest purpose-built ultra-luxury expedition vessel, Seabourn Pursuit, which launched this week from Valletta, Malta. Seabourn Pursuit’s expedition experiences encompass a range of activities designed to immerse guests in the beauty of unique destinations and come with exclusive opportunities, such as Zodiac cruising, nature walks and hikes, scuba diving, and snorkeling on most itineraries. The Pursuit also brings optional expeditions with dives on two custom-built luxury submersibles and kayaking at select destinations, with a world-class team of 24 experts, including scientists, scholars, naturalists onboard.

+ Zodiacs

Each ship has a fleet of 24 Zodiacs, which adds an extra dimension to the Seabourn expedition experience and provides guests with up-close encounters of natural wonders around the globe. The agile and versatile vessels are available in every destination and navigate diverse environments and rugged coastlines to observe wildlife in their natural habitats. Obviously zodiac cruising is complimentary and available on all Seabourn Pursuits sailings, including the line’s first-ever voyages to the iconic Kimberley region in Australia between June and August 2024.

+ Nature Walks & Hikes

Seabourn Cruises ensures that on every expedition voyage there are nature walks and hikes for exploring the diverse locations and ports – all led by expert guides and also complimentary. 

+ Kayaking

Seabourn Cruises’ optional kayaking expeditions offer guests a chance to intimately connect with nature and wildlife along tranquil waters, hidden coves, and secluded beaches. These trips are led by knowledgeable members of the expedition team, and are available for an additional charge. Kayaking will be available on Seabourn Pursuit‘s Antarctica voyages between November 2023 and February 2024 and her South Pacific sailings between March and October 2024, excluding the Kimberley voyages between June and August 2024.

+ Submersibles

Accordingly select voyages will feature two custom-built, state-of-the-art submersibles that provide an extraordinary opportunity for guests to descend deep below sea level for close-up views of surreal subsea realms beneath Antarctic waters and reef walls teeming with marine life in clear, tropical seas. At select destinations, dives can occur in unexplored locations that may have not been visited by humans. 

Guests are seated in two clear acrylic spheres flanking the center pilot’s station, with an awe-inspiring perspective of the marine world just outside, thanks to undistorted views in virtually all directions. The three passenger seats in each sphere are mounted on a rotating platform that can turn for the best sightlines. Afterwards submersible experiences are also available for an additional charge and will be offered only within select itineraries, including Seabourn Pursuit’s Antarctica voyages between November 2023 and February 2024, as well as its South Pacific sailings between March and October 2024, excluding the Kimberley voyages between June and August 2024.

+ Scuba Diving

Seabourn Cruises scuba diving sessions allow guests to plunge into underwater worlds. They are led by a qualified divemaster and complimentary to a limited number of scuba diver guests with an advanced or higher qualifications. Book them on Seabourn Pursuit’s voyages across the South Pacific, Then from Polynesia to Melanesia between March and October 2024, excluding the Kimberley voyages.

+ Snorkeling

In warm-weather destinations, Seabourn offers complimentary snorkeling adventures, where guests can don masks and fins and explore the vibrant underwater world just beneath the surface. Snorkeling will be available on Seabourn Pursuit’s South Pacific Voyages visiting Fiji, the Pitcairn Islands, Vanuatu and more between March and October 2024, excluding the Kimberley voyages.

The 132-suite Seabourn Pursuit ship is the second of two purpose-built expedition vessels in the fleet and features suites in 12 categories, all with private ocean-view verandas. Accommodations include a comfortable living area, queen-size bed or two twin beds, walk-in closet, interactive TV with music and movies, fully stocked bar and refrigerator, writing desk with personalized stationery, and makeup vanity. Spacious marble guest bathrooms have a full tub, separate shower, and luxury beauty products.

Unquestionably each suite also has a built-in heated jacket wardrobe, where guests can hang their wet outdoor Complimentary PolarShield Parka and other gear to dry quickly once they return from adventures off the ship or warm their coats before heading out on a cool morning.

Additional in-suite amenities include a personal safe, plush robes, slippers, and hair dryer. Bedding is outfitted with a luxurious custom-built mattress, comfortable cotton linens, fluffy all-season duvet, and firm or soft pillows as per guest preference. The in-suite bar is replenished with a selection of beverages and complimentary wines and/or spirits as per guest requests; and guests can take advantage of the complimentary PressReader app for access to preferred newspapers and magazines via personal phone or tablet; and SWAROVSKI OPTIK binoculars to use to view natural beauty from afar.

Overall Natural curvilinear arch design elements and parchment-inspired wall panels are among the many details that reflect bygone maritime craftsmanship; digitally printed wall laminate material mimics wood with alluring granular detail; heated flooring with wooden-look tiles; and custom bedside panels feature toggle switches, an analog clock, and a fold-away reading lamp. * Veranda Suites 

– Instead Veranda Suites are the most abundant accommodation on Seabourn Pursuit featuring luxuries for guests to make them their home away from home. Veranda suites include a separate seating area with a coffee/dining table for two, which is ideal for in-suite dining at any time of day. Each suite has an approximate total space of 355 sq. ft. (33 sq. m.), including a private furnished veranda of 78 sq. ft. (7 sq. m.). There are four categories of Veranda Suites available, and sizes vary by suite.

* Veranda Spa Suites 

– Located on Deck 7, Seabourn Pursuit’s two Veranda Spa Suites are the same size and have the same layouts and amenities as Veranda Suites. They also include additional in-suite spa amenities and access to a spa concierge service.

* Panorama Veranda Suites 

– Available only on the expedition ships, the Panorama Veranda Suites feature a semi-circular living area with comfortable seating and include expansive floor-to-ceiling windows which provide guests a breathtaking perspective of the world outside. The bathroom features a separate shower and large soaking tub placed next to a window, providing relaxing views of the private, furnished veranda and scenic outdoor landscapes. – Set on Decks 7 and 8, the Grand Wintergarden Suites are truly top of the line as they are two suites combined into one.
