Las Vegas marijuana vacations are now a reality as the landmark Artisan Hotel recently became The Lexi – a new concept by Arizona-based Elevations Hotels and Resorts. In a town known for its “bigger is better” philosophy, the new reimagined property is set to bring an intimate and modern travel experience to Las Vegas when it makes its stunning debut this spring. Open while undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation, the once famed Artisan Hotel Boutique is evolving into The Lexi with 64 new accommodations hotel that will be the first in Las Vegas to embrace the idea of cannabis-friendly hospitality.
Located just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, The Lexi will feature all new guest rooms, including an entire fourth floor that will be designated cannabis-friendly. While recognizing and normalizing the idea of cannabis in travel, The Lexi is set on creating a premium hospitality concept, an inspired culinary and cocktail program, and launching a spring/summer pool party season.
Additionally, the Las Vegas Marijuana hospitality model offers a membership initiative that is part of Elevation Hotels & Resorts proprietary program, Elevations Nation. The membership program targets individuals with a wanderlust mindset, cannabis enthusiasm, and taste for new experiences.
As cannabis lovers tend to get hungry, The Lexi will also be home to a new Cajun inspired steakhouse helmed by Executive Chef Jordan Savell (Hell’s Kitchen, Season 19), as well as the high-energy newly designed Artisan Bar & Lounge and The Lexi Pool (one of Las Vegas’s only European style pool experiences). Additionally, The Lexi has created a new grand lobby for this Las Vegas marijuana hotel concept. It is highlighted by its towering ceilings, an indoor water feature, a new walk-up Cafe, cocktail service and live music and intimate entertainment.
The Lexi is part of a recent trend in the U.S. for creating cannabis-friendly hospitality choices. More than 20 states across the US have now legalized marijuana policies, and the cannabis tourism industry is potentially valued at US$17 billion, according to reports.
Las Vegas marijuana developments in hospitality can look to the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows in Santa Monica, which, in 2019, became one of the first hotels to welcome cannabis use after partnering with cannabis delivery marketplace Eaze to offer a cannabis concierge service. However, the Fairmont does maintain anti-smoking and anti-vaping policies in its rooms and on its grounds. Thus, guests aged 21 and over can used an in-room menu to order low-dose and non-inhalation cannabis products.
Meanwhile, the historic Patterson Inn in Denver launched the first “weed consumption lounge” inside a hotel last year. Guests can enjoy cannabis in a bar setting within a model set up by The 420 Hotels and one that may make headway for adoption by hotels and entertainment venues beyond Denver and across the country. .
